Cell Knowledge

Molicel M, P & Safety Cell Series

The three series represent different design orientations. It is easier to find the right direction by first understanding the capacity, power and key points of project verification, and then going into the specific model than by comparing a single cell model in isolation.

Molicel Medium Power, Power and Safety Cell Series

M Series: Capacity and Runtime

The M series pays more attention to capacity and energy density, and is suitable for projects where running time is more important than maximum power while still having certain load requirements. M35A and M65A belong to this direction, and the specific selection still needs to check the continuous current, temperature and overall package conditions.

P Series: High Load and Fast Response

The P series is used for projects that place more emphasis on power, low internal resistance and dynamic loads, such as drones, robots, power tools, high-performance travel and some BBU directions. P42A, P45B, P50B and other models have their own choices in capacity, power and fast charging performance.

Safety Cell: For Safety-Critical Projects

The Safety Cell series is aimed at BBUs, Data Centerss, and professional power backup companies that value safety documents, power response, and long-term project verification. Model names are not a substitute for package construction, BMS, thermal management and system testing.

Series is just the first step in narrowing down your candidates. The final model must be confirmed based on continuous/peak load, run time, temperature, size, charging method and validation plan.

A Practical Selection Order

  1. First confirm whether the device needs to solve runtime, power, safety verification, or the balance of multiple goals.
  2. Provides quantifiable load, time, temperature and space conditions.
  3. Enter the corresponding series to compare specific models and applicable specifications.
  4. Validate real-world performance through sample and full-pack testing.
